Dynamical simulation and experimental structural response
Structural response is measured and predicted using dynamic simulations
A client in the structural engineering sector approached us to assess the dynamic behavior of their structure, requiring an in-depth modal analysis. They sought to understand the system’s natural frequencies and vibration modes, both through simulations and experimental testing, to optimize performance under real-world conditions.
Using finite element (FE) models, we performed a detailed modal analysis. Our approach allowed us to simulate the structure's dynamic response in both time and frequency domains, providing insights that closely matched experimental results. This synergy between simulation and testing proved invaluable, especially as physical modal testing can be challenging due to high costs, intricate setups, and limitations in measuring internal structures.
By leveraging simulations, we delivered accurate results faster and at a lower cost, helping the client refine their design with confidence.
If precise modal analysis is critical to your project, we combine advanced simulations and real-world testing to provide a comprehensive solution.
