Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) property optimization
Optimization algorithm was employed to find the set of parameters that better validate the experiments.
Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) materials are subjected to various uncertainties during manufacturing and engineers can usually only have approximations regarding stiffness and strength along different directions.
In this project, the CFRP properties were updated with the help of FE simulations. An optimization algorithm was employed to find the set of parameters that better validate the experiments.
The result was a material model that can be used with high accuracy in FE simulations.
